Sacral Chakra

Sacral Chakra

The sacral chakra is the second wheel of energy in the main chakra system. Your sacral chakra is located above the root chakra, slightly below the belly button. This chakra governs your ability to feel content. This part of your consciousness develops itself from your seventh year until your fourteenth.
This part of your consciousness regulates the way you feel, your creativity and your ability to connect to yourself and others. Emotionally, practically and also intimately.
The feeling universe of the sacral chakra is nurtured by the element water, which is intertwined with taste. The state of your sacral chakra can be interpreted by your ability to create satisfaction, to have fun and experience pleasure.
The Sanskrit name of the second chakra is Svadhishthana, meaning ‘one’s own base’, as it is the foundation of our emotionality and self-perception.
